July 2nd, 2023
12–3pm
Roberts Regional Recreation Area
Madrone Picnic Site
10570 Skyline Blvd. Oakland, CA 94619
We're eloping in May in a small private ceremony. This picnic party in July is a big celebration for us, our family, and our friends.
Kids and dogs are welcome! Dogs require a $2 fee paid at the entrance. Kids are free :)
The picnic area offers $5 parking. Spots are unfortunately not guaranteed so if the lot is full parking is available on the street leading up to the park.
Since this is an outdoor picnic we're not expecting anyone, including ourselves, to go all out. Dress comfy or dress spiffy, dress both! It's up to you. Ashley will be wearing a nice linen top/skirt combo and Jake will be in a sport coat.
July in Oakland is usually clear, sunny, and beautiful with temps in the mid 70's. The picnic area will be almost completely shaded.
We will be offering a taco bar from local restaurant Tacolicious. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. All food (except dessert) is gluten free. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well.
We know it's incredibly expensive to travel to weddings so we're not requiring or expecting gifts, we just want to see you and have fun. If you insist on giving something, any money we receive is going directly into our home & future family fund.
You can make checks out to Jake Mauer, Ashley Feuchs, or send to our Venmo here.
Our house and the picnic spot are located in Oakland. We're about 20 minutes drive from Oakland airport and ~45-60 min drive from SFO.
This hotel is about a 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive from our house. It’s in a walkable part of town with a delicious bakery (Firebrand) and coffee shop (Crown) nearby!
This hotel is in downtown Oakland near more of the hustle and bustle of the city. It is relatively close to Lake Merritt, as well as lots of restaurants and the BART station (public transit).

Begin your walk at the Lands End trailhead, stop to see views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay, and end at the Sutro Baths.
Some of our favorite spots in Golden Gate Park include the Japanese Tea Garden and the Conservatory of Flowers.
Dolores Park is the perfect spot for people watching with an amazing view of SF. Stop by Byrite for ice cream nearby!
This is a beautiful park where you can view the famous "Painted Ladies" homes, aka "That shot of SF from the opening of Full House"
An SF landmark hosting a ton of restaurants and shops, including Hog Island Oysters which are some of the best oysters Jake has ever had.
Incredible bread. Incredible food. You can buy a loaf of sourdough to go or eat at the restaurant. Also check out the Heath ceramics showroom next door.
If you want to see picturesque redwoods, this is the place to hike! It can get a little crowded on the weekends.
This is our go-to weekend hiking spot with lots of options for easy, medium, and challenging hikes.
Our favorite little alleyway with local jewelers, ice cream (dairy-free options!), and vintage clothing stores.
Close to our house, this Israeli/Mediterranean restaurant has options for everyone.
The tacos here are unbelievably fresh, made with local ingredients and lots of veggie options.
Jake’s favorite weekend coffee spot. The Crown's main business is actually teaching baristas and roasters. The cafe is actually the side business.
One of our favorite bakeries on Oakland. They’ve got yummy breads, challah, and sandwiches.
The most delicious gluten-free baked goods and a cute little cafe.
This is our favorite local coffee spot on Piedmont Avenue!
